HOW TO PURCHASE:
1) We recommend reading this document IN FULL first as most common questions are answered here.
2) Tell us a little about your experience as a reptile keeper. We vet EVERY live animal sale.
3) For purchases to be shipped, see ONLINE PURCHASES.
4) If you wish to purchase from us in person, see LOCAL PURCHASES.
5) EVERY live animal sale requires a Purchase Terms/Responsible Keeper Agreement. Absolutely no payment will be taken prior to this being signed.

ONLINE PURCHASES:
- Required Information:
1) Legal name as it appears on your ID
2) Phone number
3) Email address (your order and shipping info will come to this address)
4) Billing address (required for fraud prevention)
5) FedEx Ship Center you want to pick up at. See SHIPPING for valid location requirements.

To protect our customers, business, and animals, you will receive a Purchase Terms/Responsible Keeper Agreement which covers all terms and conditions. This agreement is also a legal promissory note for purchase.
- Once the Purchase Terms/Responsible Keeper Agreement is signed you will receive a payment request. See PAYMENT for more information and payment options.

LOCAL PURCHASES:
- Local pickup is available in Winston-Salem, NC.
- We do not have a retail location and meet customers by appointment at a prearranged location.
- Contact us to set up a time and place to meet up for purchase.
- To protect our customers, business, and animals, local orders require digital signing of our Purchase Terms/Responsible Keeper Agreement.
- See PAYMENT for payment options.
- A non-refundable deposit may be required to hold (50% under $150, 30% $150 and up) at our discretion.

SHIPPING:
- Shipping is a flat rate and the cost for each animal is listed on its listing.
- Some higher priced animals ship for free. This will be noted on the listing.
- We ship one prearranged day per week, usually Tuesday, via FedEx priority overnight.
- We only ship when weather is permitting (between 40°F-90°F).
- We will let you know when our next shipping day is when you inquire.
- We ONLY ship to FedEx Ship Center locations in the Continental US. WE DO NOT OFFER HOME DELIVERY.
- Valid FedEx Ship Center locations will say "FedEx Ship Center" and nothing else.
- FedEx Office, FedEx Onsite, FedEx Office and Ship Center, FedEx Authorized Ship Center, or any other third party vendor CANNOT be used as these locations cannot receive live animals.
- Buyer is responsible for selecting the FedEx Ship Center that is most convenient for them, but we are glad to assist you in finding a location near you if needed.
- These policies are intended for the safety of the animals as well as to ensure that packages are received by their intended recipients.

PICKING UP YOUR ORDER:
- The party whose legal name is on the package must be the party that picks up the package.
- FedEx requires that ID be presented.
- Buyer is responsible for picking up animal(s) within 2 hours of available pickup time (as indicated by the provided tracking number) or all guarantees are null and void.
- Buyer must notify seller of DOA animals within 1 hour of pickup and provide video evidence.
- If an animal arrives DOA the animal will be replaced with one of equal value or lesser value or the balance can be applied toward the purchase of another animal.

PAYMENT:
- For online orders you will receive a payment request regardless of payment method used.
- The payment request accepts credit/debit cards and ACH bank transfer.
- ACH bank transfer payments take 3-5 business days to clear. Your ship date is set once payment clears.
- Afterpay is available on request for purchases over $500. This is handled through a separate Square invoice.
- We do NOT accept payment via PayPal or Venmo. However, if you have a PayPal card, you can use that as a regular card.
- If you pay through a method outside of the payment request we will mark your payment manually.
- Other payment methods: Cash, CashApp.
- Local pickup orders may be paid in advance or at pickup by cash, CashApp, or credit/debit card. We do NOT accept payment via PayPal or Venmo for local purchase (PayPal debit card is fine).
- Payment plans: We offer traditional in-house payment plans on animals over $500 with a non-refundable 30% deposit.
- 30 day payoff up to $1500
- 60 day payoff for $1500-$3000
- 90 day payoff over $3000.
- There are NO refunds for defaulted payment plans.
- If you cannot finish paying for an animal you will lose the 30% deposit and any remaining balance will be issued as store credit towards a future purchase.
- We can be flexible with the payoff timeline within reason.
- We do NOT offer payment plans under $500.
- Short term holds (up to one week) are available with a non-refundable deposit of 50% for purchases under $150 or 30% for $150 and up.

HEALTH & REFUNDS:
- We guarantee sex, health, and genetics of all animals.
- Upon arrival, we ask that you check the animal over.
- If you notice anything is wrong please contact us immediately.
- If no contact has been made within 24 hours of arrival we assume you are content with the animal(s) and we no longer take responsibility for them.
- We are here to help you give your pet a long and happy life, but it is your responsibility to provide them with sufficient care, husbandry, and healthcare.
- We do not offer refunds.
- Any issues with orders will be resolved with either replacement or store credit.
- If there is any issue with your purchase under the aforementioned condition, please reach out to us and we will work with you to make it right.

RESALE:
- We do not sell for resale by default. Any intent to resell or to deal must be disclosed to us in writing before purchase and is approved case by case.
- If you resell an animal sourced from us, you must credit Mortal Coil Serpentry as the source, pass along the care information we provided, represent its origin, genetics, morph, and health honestly, and quarantine it a minimum of 30 days before offering it.
- We do not knowingly sell to flippers under any circumstances.
- Violations will end all future sales and may be pursued through legal action. Full terms are in the Purchase Terms/Responsible Keeper Agreement.

RESTRICTED SPECIES:
- We will NOT knowingly ship any animal to a state where its ownership is prohibited.
- Buyer is responsible for knowing state and local ordinances pertaining to reptile ownership.
- We may forward requests to violate laws to the appropriate authorities.

FRAUD PREVENTION:
- We perform all due diligence to prevent fraud and stand behind the validity of EVERY sale under the terms above.
- We fully document and track every transaction.
- Any and all attempted payment reversals WILL be met with litigation and/or criminal prosecution.
